Dr. Ramya Aroul

BIO

Dr. Ramya Aroul is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Real Estate at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). Prior to joining UTA, she was at Texas A&M University-Commerce and Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland teaching finance and real estate. 

Her research has been published in journals including Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Property Research, and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. Her work has also been presented at several national and international conferences like the American Real Estate Society, American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, Financial Management Association, Eastern Finance Association conferences.

Dr. Aroul’s teaching spans undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, including courses in personal finance, business finance, and real estate.


Beyond the classroom and her scholarship, Dr. Aroul also leads her college’s financial literacy initiative, the UTA Personal Financial Education program. 

She is active in American Real Estate Society, where she serves on the board, as well as the editorial boards of two real estate journals: the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate and the Journal of Real Estate Literature.

Through her combined roles as scholar, teacher, and community leader, Dr. Aroul advances the mission of connecting finance and real estate research and education with real-world impact.
