Dr. Vivek Sah is an accomplished higher education leader and scholar serving as Director and Chair of the Franklin L. Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management, and Professor of Real Estate at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. He provides strategic vision and operational leadership for one of the nation’s distinguished programs integrating real estate and construction management.
Dr. Sah drives curriculum innovation, industry engagement, fundraising, and global academic partnerships while enhancing student learning through internships, mentoring, and executive education, including the Affordable Housing program he co-directs. His school has excelled in competitions like the NAIOP Rocky Mountain Real Estate Challenge, securing victories in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Dr. Sah’s research focuses on real estate investment, housing markets, and built environment issues, with numerous publications in top journals such as the Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, where he served as Editor. He has held leadership roles, including President of the American Real Estate Society and service on its Board of Directors, earning recognition for advancing real estate scholarship.
A widely cited expert and frequent speaker at industry forums, Dr. Sah bridges academic insights with real-world practice. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration specializing in Real Estate Finance and Investments, an MBA in Finance, and an undergraduate engineering degree.
