Mr R.V. Verma held several leadership positions during his 40 years’ service in the Banking, Finance, Housing, Mortgage and Real Estate sector, including with Regulatory bodies. Starting his career with the Reserve Bank of India, he served as Chairman and MD of National Housing Bank, Founding MD & CEO and Central Registrar of CERSAI, Member/Chairman at the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), and Chairman at India Mortgage Guarantee Corporation.

Mr Verma led a number of groundbreaking initiatives and played a key role in the formulation of various innovative national level schemes and programmes on affordable and low income housing of NHB and the Government of India. Mr Verma held several Board positions, including as Chairman of AU Small Finance Bank, Consultant to the World Bank Group, and Member, Advisory Committee IBBI etc. He also served two terms as Chairman of the Asia Pacific Union for Housing Finance (APUHF). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and an MBA from Delhi University (FMS) and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
