About the Role
The Academic Associate will play a crucial role in supporting GREMI’s faculty across a spectrum of academic activities—teaching, research, curriculum enhancement, and industry engagement. Ideal for ambitious postgraduates, young academics, and high achievers, this position serves as a launchpad for future academic leadership in India or abroad. This is a developmental role intended for a tenure of approximately five years at GREMI.
Academic Associates are expected to gain substantial expertise and understanding in their chosen area of specialization during their tenure, preparing for higher academic positions in leading institutions, nationally or internationally.
Responsibilities
- Assist faculty in preparing and delivering lectures, case studies, seminars, and workshops.
- Support research projects: literature review, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
- Facilitate student assessments, grading, and feedback processes under faculty supervision.
- Organize and manage academic events (guest lectures, conferences, field visits, etc.).
- Contribute to curriculum design, updating, and digitization initiatives.
- Maintain academic records, databases, and confidentiality.
- Mentor and guide students in academic activities and project work.
- Liaise with industry partners for collaborative academic initiatives.
- Handle administrative duties related to academic operations as assigned by faculty.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree (first class) in a relevant discipline (Management, Planning, Design, Engineering, Real Estate, Project Management, or allied fields).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant academia or built environment industry.
- Applicants with freshly awarded PhDs (with or without experience) are also eligible.
Required Skills
- Exceptional candidates with in depth understanding of the discipline and outstanding academic or professional achievements
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Tools and academic data management.
- Research aptitude and ability to synthesize findings for diverse stakeholders.
