India’s Tier 2 and 3 Cities: The Next Investment Frontier
By 2050, India’s urban population is expected to grow by 416 million people, and much of this growth will happen in tier 2 and 3 cities. These emerging urban centers, from Nagpur and Indore to Kochi and Visakhapatnam, are rapidly becoming economic powerhouses. They already host 51% of India’s registered MSMEs and are attracting investments across manufacturing, IT, logistics, and real estate thanks to lower operating costs and expanding consumer demand.
